Frequently asked questions
Multiply length by width by depth in feet to get cubic feet, then multiply by about 100 lb/ft³ and divide by 2,000 for tons. A 20 × 10 ft area at 1 inch deep is 16.7 cubic feet — roughly 0.85 tons, or about 34 fifty-pound bags.
