铺装基层要做多厚？

露台和步道 10–15 厘米压实基层，车道 20–30 厘米。基层才是结构层，砖块只负责把荷载分散到基层上。

砖下的砂要铺多厚？

正好 2.5 厘米粗砂，刮平且铺砖前不得压实。砂层过厚是路面出现车辙的典型原因。

铺装砖下面用什么砂？

符合 ASTM C33 的粗混凝土砂。不要用游戏砂或砌筑砂，它们过细、保水，会让砖块移动。

需要边缘约束吗？

所有自由边都需要。没有约束时，周边砖块会在荷载下向外滑移，缝隙张开，整体失去连锁作用，这是数年内失效的首要原因。

可以把砖铺在旧混凝土上吗？

可以，前提是混凝土完好且能排水。请用薄找平层或粘贴法，而不是厚砂层，并确保水有出路。

What it does with those numbers

What this will not tell you
